12-Year-Old Alleged Rape Victim "Wasn't All That Unwilling," Says Houston Detective

Houston police are facing a growing storm over comments made by a detective after a 12-year-old girl was reportedly raped in the bathroom of a local CVS.
"She was not necessarily all that unwilling," Detective Michael Kelly told ABC-13. He quickly qualified that "at the age of 12, it doesn't matter."
The word "rape" did not come up.
CVS surveillance footage from the Oct. 16 attack shows the victim enter the pharmacy behind her mother and grandmother, shortly after which a white male in his 20s is seen coaxing the girl into a bathroom where the alleged rape took place.
"The safety of our customers is our highest priority and we are fully cooperating with the police in their investigation," a CVS spokesman told ABC-13.
Police are describing the man, who is being called a "person of interest" as a 20-something white male with a "distinct hairline" and a goatee. The victim added that he had tattooed, hairy arms. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call (713) 668-2341.
