DNC Speakers Schedule: Michelle Obama Speech Time and Key Events

At last week's Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney's wife Ann Romney stole the show with her powerful speech which attracted much deserved praise from Republicans as she set out to make the case for why her husband is the right choice to lead America for the next four years. At this week's DNC, attention will turn to First Lady Michelle Obama as she tries to make the case for her husband.

In an election cycle that's been littered with "war on women" television ads and attacks, it is perhaps fitting that the two biggest weapons in Mitt Romney and Barack Obama's arsenal are their wives, Ann and Michelle. Although polls show that Obama currently leads Romney by nearly 10 points amongst women voters, both candidates are trying to make their case to women. Republicans seem to be focusing in particular on mothers, or as election pundits like to say "soccer moms," while the Obama campaign is focused on younger, single women at-large.

Michelle Obama will be one of the Obama campaign's go-to speakers over the course of the DNC Convention; while the President campaigns in stops across the U.S. ahead of his prime-time speech on Thursday, she will arrive early, with a packed schedule of speaking engagements and events.

In addition to Michelle's major headline speech on Tuesday evening on prime-time television, which will kick of Day 1 of the Convention, along with San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, she'll be speaking to various caucuses and delgations over the course of the Convention, in smaller group setting.
