Argo Wins Best Picture at ACE Eddie Awards, Setting Up Oscars 2013 Showdown

"Argo" took home yet another award at the American Cinema Editors' ACE Eddie Awards on Saturday night, winning the Best Edited Feature (Dramatic). That adds yet another early honor for Ben Affleck's movie, which has also won honors from the Producers Guild, Directors Guild, and Screen Actors Guild.

The Writers Guild is scheduled to announce its winners on Sunday.

The show took placea the Beverly Hilton Hotel, hosted by David Cross. Joining Argo at the ACE Eddie Awards is "Silver Linings Playbook," which won the award for Best Edited Feature (Comedy or Musical).

What, if anything, does this mean for Argo's Oscar hopes? In fact, the ACE Eddie Awards are usually a reliable predictor of the Oscars. In the past 20 years, the drama winner has gone on to take the editing Oscar 16 times and Best Picture 12 times.

The other nominees for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) were: "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Skyfall," and "Zero Dark Thirty."
