Miami Heat LeBron James told Oprah, on an interview which will air this Sunday at 8:00 PM on OWN, that when it comes to very important events in his life he tends to get “the jitters.”

The NBA’s MVP said he was extremely nervous when he proposed to Akron, Ohio, “low-key” gal Savannah Brinson, the mother of his two sons LeBron James Jr. and Bryce Maximus James, over New Year’s Eve.

“It felt like right before a finals game,” he told Oprah about kneeling and offering the ring at a party held at Vesper Brasserie at the Shelborne South Beach Hotel in Miami, while teammate Dwayane Wade – who also appears on the interview – held the $300,000 ring right before he popped the question.

Though no wedding date has been set yet, but James was recently at a low-key-turned-high-profile ceremony. He recently “crashed” the nuptials of Coconut Grove couple Shaun and Jamie Kolnick as bride and groom prepared to receive their guests at the reception held at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove.

“My brother seemed to be more excited for LeBron James than for my own wedding,” said Mrs. Kolnick describing how most friends and family members literally when gaga over the interruption by James who recently had conquered for the Sunshine State the NBA glory he was due to deliver.
