3 Million Millennials Say Thank You to the Supreme Court for Upholding Obamacare

Impact

While there are many people out chanting for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, or "Obamacare," what they are calling for is very dangerous for millions of millennials.

More than three million people under the age of 26 are now allowed to remain on their parents' plans.

This allows students and recent grads who have not found a job yet the opportunity to keep having health insurance.

When I was that age I was founding my own company. I vividly remember navigating the complex system to find insurance. I spent a lot of time on it. Then, while I moved a few times and focused on starting up a company, I had one more major responsibility to keep track of. I had to spend less time on my company and more time on health care.

Maybe, some people want to repeal this because they believe people under the age of 26 should not have health insurance.

Perhaps, they want to repeal this because they want government rules that prevent young people from remaining on their parents' plans.

Repeal of Obamacare returns to the previous system and three million young people lose their coverage.

Are you one of the young adults impacted? Have you gotten insurance by going back on your family plan? I'd love to hear your story.
