On Tuesday’s episode of The Daily Show, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz will join host Jon Stewart in gracing our Comedy Central airwaves.
The NFL Super Bowl champion, who went from an undrafted free agent to one of the best receivers in the league, had an impressive 2011 season: he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards receiving and scored nine touchdowns.
Even with his skills on the field, Cruz is perhaps most virally known for his salsa dance end-zone celebrations.
His teammates have even tried to emulate Cruz's famed moves.
While I have no doubt Jon Stewart will try and coax a little salsa out of Cruz, the real purpose of his visit is as part of his promotional tour for his new autobiography, Out of the Blue.
The book, recounts Cruz's rise to fame and the struggles that the Paterson, New Jersey kid faced along the way. In an interview with the New York Times Cruz described his book as one for “adults and kids. It’s for anyone who was through a tough time or is in a tough time and think that they have been through so much and can’t pull themselves out of it.”
Tune in to Comedy Central at 11:00 p.m for the Stewart-Cruz match up.
