Who Did Emily Maynard Pick: Will Emily Maynard and Jef Holm Live Happily Ever After

The wait is finally over! And Emily Maynard surprised America by sending Arie home.

Tonight, the eighth season of The Bachelorette came to a close, as Emily Maynard chose between Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Jef Holm as the one.

From Charlotte to Curacao, Emily and these two remaining men had been through a lot since first meeting. And in fact, all throughout, Arie and Jef have managed to be front-runners to take home the final rose.

Arie, who caught Emily’s eye very quickly because of the fact that he is a racecar driver; her ex-fiancé, Ricky Hendrick, who passed away eight years ago in an airplane crash, was also a stock car driver. In short, he pretty much had a leg up on the competition from the very beginning just because his profession brought back great memories from her past.

And then there is Jef (with one 'f'), who immediately stood out from the pack as a result of his unconventional entrance on a skateboard. All along, Emily has said she is looking for someone with "an edge," and from his hair and demeanor to the way he spells his name, Jef is just that.

Emily drove Arie off into the sunset. Here are the four things Emily was thinking about when she made her final decision:

1) Will Emily's family like Arie and Jef? If so, who do they prefer?

2) Who will Emily choose, Jef or Arie?

3) Will the man Emily chooses propose? If not, will they get to meet her daughter Ricki?

4) Will Emily choose somebody, period?
