Dancing With the Stars Welcomes Back Bristol Palin, After Latest Show Epic Fail

Culture

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former governor of Alaska and 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, will return to the season 15 of Dancing With the Stars after the epic failure of her recent reality television venture Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.

Palin Jr., a single mother who recently was object of ridicule when she blasted President Obama’s stance on gay marriage because “kids needs both a mom and a dad,” will be joining several other repeats – such as Pamela Anderson, Kirstie Alley and Drew Lachey, among others – in the hit ABC show, despite the fact that she can’t really dance.

Bristol was also involved in controversy earlier this year when she wrote an open letter to President Barack Obama in the wake of the Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke controversy over religion and contraception. Palin – who was insulted by HBO comedian Bill Maher when she became pregnant – said she believed she deserved the same treatment as Georgetown University Law Center student Sandra Fluke who was phoned by Obama after Limbaugh called her a “slut” for defending women's reproductive rights.

And now, it seems as though Palin Jr. will have even more airtime as the new seasons of DWTS will premier on September 24, just in time for the final stretch of the presidential election. Does this mean this is Palin comeback time? Will her mom Sarah, perhaps, make it into the Republican presidential ticket this year as Mitt Romney’s running mate? With this Republican Party, one will never know.
