Channing Tatum, the star in whose past life as a male stripper the film Magic Mike was inspired, has revealed that a sequel to the successful Steven Soderbergh film – starring Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Matt Bomer, and Adam Rodriguez – is in the works, according to Glamour UK.

"Yes, yes and yes!" he told the magazine during a Twitter interview in which the hunk revealed producers are working on the new concept, as they want to “flip” the script and make it “bigger.”

Though is hasn’t been revealed yet where the story would pick up – whether the story will focus on Dallas’ male revue show which is supposedly leaving small Tampa to go in the quest of Miami, or on Michael (Tatum) and Brooke’s (Cody Horn) looming romance – Tatum did reveal he had no plans to “strip again,” which would put the weight of the burlesque part of the story squarely on Adam’s (Alex Petyffer) shoulders.

However, Joe Manganiello (Big Dick Richie) told Access Hollywood that Magic Mike’s next installment could well be a prequel, as a sequel would "loose" Mike – the story’s main character. "Otherwise, what's Mike going to do? He's going to come back for one big heist ... so, you would do the prequel, how they got there," the True Blood hunk added.

Meanwhile, Matthew McCounaghey agreed with both Tatum and Manganiello in that a second Magic Mike – whether a sequel or a prequel – would be something he would go for. “It’s an exciting proposition,” the actor of upcoming Killer Joe said when asked about the possibility. He expressed concern, though, about “how much skin could one bare,” the next time around as thongs “can only get smaller.” “What’s the allure after that,” he added.
