Here Are the 15 Best Smackdowns of Ashley Madison User and Ex-Reality Star Josh Duggar

Impact

On Wednesday, former Family Research Council executive and 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar made headlines after records showed he maintained a paid account with the extramarital dating website Ashley Madison. The Canadian-based company, which provides a platform to allow people to discreetly cheat on their spouses, was hacked in July, compromising the data of millions of users.

When hackers released the trove earlier this week, a credit card linked to Duggar indicated he had maintained two accounts and spent nearly $1,000 in fees to the site.

Duggar, who for a time was an executive at Christian lobbying organization (and extremist group) the Family Research Council, found himself in the most hot water on Twitter, where users lined up to deliver pithy justice. Many took exception to Duggar's previous opposition to same-sex marriage and his own illicit behavior with his sisters.

Duggar and the rest of his large family had just about dropped out of the news after spending weeks managing revelations that he had sexually molested a number of people, including his own sisters, several years ago. Duggar has never faced criminal charges in relation to the crimes, many of which were felonies.

Amid continuing fallout, TLC canceled the highly rated show in July, and Duggar resigned his position at the Family Research Council's lobbying arm. The family also sat for two interviews with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in an attempt to explain the behavior. The Duggars, however, are already planning a return to television and will participate in a one-hour special on child sexual abuse called Breaking the Silence that will air on TLC on Aug 30.

As for the rest of Ashley Madison's millions of cheaters, Twitter user Drug Monkey Blog said it best.
