Donald Trump's Latest Presidential Poll Is Proof of Public Support

Impact

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump continues to maintain a strong lead over all other GOP candidates campaigning for the White House, garnering the support of 35% of New Hampshire Republicans according to a new survey by Public Policy Polling.

The survey, released Tuesday, also indicates a major dip in polling for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who dropped 17 points from 24% to 7%. The governor had held the lead against Trump and other GOP candidates in the last PPP survey.

Following Trump is Ohio Gov. John Kasich, at 11%, and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, at 10%.

Walker isn't the only one walking away with bruises from the latest polling numbers, however. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul dipped eight points, while his net favorability plummeted 44 points, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee fell outside of the "big 10," dropping from 7% to less than 1%. Although Texas Sen. Ted Cruz also faces a drastic dip in numbers, PPP reports the 10-point drop is misleading, as the last survey was conducted immediately following Cruz's campaign announcement.

What's more, the polling indicates Trump also holds a strong net favorability compared side-by-side against other leading GOP hopefuls, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson and Walker.

Trump has been leading in national polls despite controversial remarks he continues to make toward minorities, women and Fox News host Megyn Kelly. How? The businessman seems to have all the answers:
