Jersey Shore Season 6: Snooki Has a Baby Inside of Her

Culture

“What the f**k is wrong with you people? I have a baby inside of me!” is Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s war cry to her apathetic roommates and fellow reality television stars Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jennifer “JWoww” Farley, Samantha “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie and Vinnie who are coming back to MTV for a sixth season of Jersey Shore; and are taking advantage of the fact that we are on an election year to promote political participation among young voters.

This unlikely scenario of hard-partying young adults forgetting for a moment about shopping, tanning and working out to focus on the ongoing presidential election, between Republican challenger Mitt Romney and Democratic President Barack Obama, was put together thanks to a “Funny or Die” video in which the Jersey Shore guys and gals step aside from the raw promotion of their party ways to focus on the issues that matter.

And though the cast doesn’t directly express who will they vote for, Snooki warns at some point during the heated debate not to rely on the fact that New Jersey is “a solid blue state” to forgo participation (Snooki expressed her opinions in the previous election, blasting a 10% tanning tax derived from Obamacare. The statement prompted then Republican presidential candidate John McCain to tweet Snooki in approval).

But Jersey Shore’s Rock the Vote campaign may end up being just another way of promoting the upcoming season of the hated-yet-highly-successful TV show. Though the skit is a partnership between Funny or Die and MTV's "Power of 12" initiative (which, like Rock the Vote, appeals to the 18-to-29 demographic to register and vote). In its own words, the mission is to "help unleash the exponential power of the millennial generation in the 2012 elections and beyond."

The effort will also seek to have these millennials tune in for the sixth season of "Jersey Shore," which kicks off in October with a bunch of changes that include a Mike "The Situation" fresh off a rehab stint, and a Nicole "Snooki" dealing with the sobering responsibilities of motherhood. "I'm actually really excited for this season to air. It's actually probably one of my favorite seasons to film because it was all of us; we all came together as a family," Pauly D explained in announcement that could turn off fans of the gang's previous party ways, as the cast concentrates in adult responsibilities -- such as having babies, paying taxes and voting.
