Pope Francis has been making his rounds in Washington, D.C., ever since he touched down in the nation's capitol on Tuesday. Now, he's heading to New York City.

The pope caught a flight to New York on Thursday for the second stop during his three-city U.S. tour. He will visit the United Nations General Assembly on Friday: Watch a live stream of Pope Francis' visit to the U.N. here.

The visit, which will be available for live streaming via the United Nations Web TV site, will begin at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is one of the most highly anticipated stops on Francis' trip.

"The pope will not be speaking primarily as a politician. He will not be speaking like a technical expert. He will not be speaking like a high U.N. official. But he will be speaking, above all, as a pastor, as a religious leader," Archbishop Bernardito Auza told NY News 1. "Poverty, social justice, climate change, and what we call peaceful institutions and societies. These are also the priorities of the Catholic Church."
