Ahead of its Dec. 4th release, a trailer has surface for director Spike Lee's new movie, Chi-Raq. Lee's latest film takes an ancient Greek play, Aristophanes' Lysistrata, and flips the script by setting the plot against the backdrop of gang and gun violence in Chicago.

"Homicides in Chicago, Illinois, have surpassed the death toll of american special forces in Iraq," says the trailer's narrator, Dolmedes, played by Academy Award-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson. "Welcome to Chi-Raq."
