BET Soul Train Awards 2015: Date, Channel, Start Time, Performers and How to Watch

BET's Soul Train Awards will kick off on Sunday when a multitude of esteemed hip-hop and R&B artists take the stage to honor soul music. Some of the biggest names in the industry are nominated in categories including best gospel song, best soul artist and, of course, album of the year. Here's a list of performers, nominees and how to watch.

Soul Train Awards host and performers: Singer-songwriter and activist Erykah Badu will host the award show kicking off Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern. 

Sixteen artists will perform on Sunday, including Fantasia, Boyz II Men, Brandy, Jeremih and R. Kelly. Check out the full list of performers here

Nominees: There are 12 categories of nominations and a multitude of artists nominated for each category. Trey Songz, the Weeknd, Chris Brown, D'Angelo and the Vanguard and Tyrese are nominated for best R&B/soul male artist. Powerhouses Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott and Tamar Braxton are nominated for the accompanying female category.
