Brace yourselves, Transparent fans: The Pfefferman family is arriving early.

Ahead of season two of the Emmy-winning series debuting on Amazon Prime later this month, the streaming service announced it will release the season premiere Monday night. Transparent creator Jill Soloway excitedly tweeted the news early Monday afternoon.

Season two begins with a wedding, between eldest daughter Sarah (Amy Landecker) and her fiancée, Tammy (Melora Hardin). Among the guests is one of the family matriarchs, Maura (Jeffrey Tambor), the series star.

Transparent's first season chronicled the beginning of Maura's transition and charted the reactions of the people around her. The first teaser for the new season shows the entire family getting together for a group photo at the wedding.

Transparent was hailed during its first season for its realistic portrayal of a trans woman coming out, as well as including several other queer characters in the ensemble. Tambor earned the Emmy and Golden Globe for best actor, among other kudos.

The season two premiere will drop on Amazon Prime for U.S. users 8 p.m. Eastern Monday. The full season will hit the service December 11.
