The Game Awards 2015: Nominees, Performances and How to Stream Live Online

The Game Awards will be streamed live Thursday from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by GameTrailers TV's Geoff Keighley. 

The second annual awards ceremony, which honors "the video game industry's best games and players," will be available to stream across a variety of gaming platforms starting at 9 p.m. ET, according to a Game Awards press release.

Nominees: Nominees are selected by a jury of 32 figures from international media. Only games that have been released to a commercial audience by Nov. 24 are considered as contenders. Awards fall into 16 jury-voted categories and six fan-voted categories. A full list of nominees for each category is available here.

Bethesda Game Studios, CD Projekt Red, FromSoftware, Kojima Productions, and Nintendo are up for Best Developer. The Structure Network predicts Bethesda as the winner.

Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V, Super Mario Maker and The Witcher 3 are nominated for game of the year. Mammoth Gamers predicts that Fallout 4 will take home the gold.

On November 28, the Game Awards announced that Brett Sperry and Louis Castle will accept this year's industry icon award on behalf of Westwood Studios, the now-closed video game developer behind Command & Conquer, a 1992 bestseller.

Performances: On Nov. 18, Billboard announced that Chvrches and deadmau5 will both be performing at this year's Awards. 

Tickets: Tickets for the event went on sale Nov. 12 and are available here for $25.00 each. Doors open at 4:30 PT.

Streaming options: The show can be viewed by live stream across a number of apps and gaming consoles. Viewers can tune in on Polygon, Twitch, YouTube, Steam, the PlayStation Network, Wii U, Xbox Live, Go90 and GameSpot. 

Gamers can also expect a few celebrity guests: Keighley announced on Twitter that Kiefer Sutherland and Shaquille O'Neal are scheduled to appear. 

Last year, 1.93 million viewers tuned in to the live stream over the course of the three-hour ceremony. BioWare's Dragon Age: Inquisition took home the game of the year.
