H&M X Balmain Fragrance: Price and How to Buy Unisex Collaboration

Impact

When the H&M x Balmain collection was released in the United States back in early November, people went batshit crazy. Hundreds stormed their local outlets in search of the economically priced collaboration between the European retail chain and the French couture fashion brand. The chaos that enveloped malls across the country in November proved one thing: there's an unprecedented desire among shoppers to look, dress and even smell like one of the "Balmain girls."

Now, they can. Allure reported the latest addition to the H&M x Balmain collection comes in the form of a sleek black bottle and smells of tonka bean, white jasmine and a musky, cedar-sandalwood note to top it off. The H&M x Balmain unisex fragrance hits stores Thursday and costs just $40, peanuts compared to other Balmain perfumes, which have price tags upwards of $100 dollars.

The bottle contains 3.3 fluid ounces of perfume, and its boxing has a very similar aesthetic to the collaborative line. It's a slim black box with bright gold lines and bold lettering that reads, "BALMAIN PARIS, H&M Eau De Parfum."

That might be why H&M and Balmain decided to try convincing shoppers to purchase the perfume another way: anyone who buys something from the H&M x Balmain collection will be given a complimentary sample of the product once it's rolled out to stores Thursday, according to Allure
