Stores Open on New Year's Day for Those Who Aren't Making Resolutions to Save More
Many stores will close for New Year's Day just as they do on Thanksgiving and Christmas but some stores, to the relief of customers and bitterness of employees, will be open on the national holiday for those looking to ward off their hangovers with some retail therapy.
Some major restaurant and retail chains, including Chipotle (so no face-sized hangover burrito) and Trader Joe's, will close for New Year's Day while others, like Starbucks (at least we won't have to sacrifice the obligatory hangover venti iced coffee) and Target, will remain open for normal business hours. Here's a list of some stores open on New Year's Day and their hours. A complete list can be found on GoBankingRates.
