The Recording Academy and CBS announced in May that the biggest night in music, the Grammys, would move from its usual Sunday slot and air Monday night instead. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air Feb. 15 at 8:00 p.m. EST on CBS.

"With both Valentine's Day and Presidents Day that weekend, having the show on Monday felt like a nice finale to the weekend," a Grammys spokesperson wrote in a statement to Forbes. "The fact that it buys the team an extra day to recover from all the preceding Grammy week activities — from our Producers & Engineers Wing event to MusiCares Person Of The Year to the Pre-Grammy Gala, among a slew of other things — doesn't hurt either."

Feb. 15 will mark the Grammys' first-ever broadcast on a Monday. Usually, the awards show airs on a Sunday, though it has been held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in the past, according to Forbes. The Grammy leadership told reporters they're not too concerned about the change in date.

"This year has already proven to be an exciting year in music," Neil Portnow, president and CEO of The Recording Academy, told Billboard in May. "As we continue to strive for excellence, our strengthened relationships with our stellar partners will show that we can, once again, create what is universally known as Music's Biggest Night, by honoring and celebrating the best that music has to offer."

The Recording Academy announced several superstar entertainers who will perform at the Grammy Awards on Wednesday, including ten-time Grammy winner Adele, The Weeknd, two-time Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar, and country music group Little Big Town.

The 58th Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
