Modern Family Creator Steve Levitan Disses Ann Romney for Her Love of the Show

Ann Romney may have made a huge splash at the Republican National Convention Tuesday night, but she's also managed to make some pretty nasty waves within the Hollywood community. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mrs. Romney confessed her love for the TV program Modern Family sparking some backlash in the process. The show, which features a main storyline about a happy gay couple (Cam and Mitchell) and their daughter, comes into direct conflict with the GOP's stance on gay marriage. The official party platform calls for a ban on gay marriages -- somehow I don't think Cam and Mitch would approve.

While on the campaign trail in May, presidential candidate Mitt Romney told reporters, "I have the same view on marriage that I had when I was governor. I believe marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman." Mrs. Romney's love for the program comes into direct conflict with her husband's position and the GOP platform.

Modern Family creator, Steve Levitan, took to his Twitter account to take a dig at Mrs. Romney's love for the show.

Levitan's tweet came prior to Mrs. Romney's successful speech at the Republican National Convention, during which Mrs. Romney painted a warm and loving picture of her husband.

What do you think? Is it possible for Ann Romney to be a fan of Modern Family and still keep her anti gay-marriage position credible?
