50 Shades of Grey Movie Cast: Ryan Gosling and Matt Bomer Dominate Fan Trailers

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie mania has officially reached fever pitch, as online fans have started populating YouTube with homemade “trailers” of the upcoming and much anticipated film version of E.L. James’ controversial novel.

Based on the summer’s online speculation of who will be cast as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel, fans have taken to Final Cut Pro to recreate their own versions of what the upcoming film would look like.

They have taken scenes from movies and television shows where their favorite actors (i.e. White Collar's Matt Bomer and The Ides of March's Ryan Gosling) participate and have mixed them with music videos or television commercials with the now unmistakable 50 Shades look.

Though there has been endless speculation about the movie cast, and some starts -- such as Man of Steel's Henry Cavill -- are rumored to already be in preliminary talks with producers Brunetti & De Luca, author E.L. James has remained mum about the potential cast.

James, who will be interviewed by American journalist Katie Couric in her upcoming talk show, has limited herself to comment that American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis -- who had been bidding himself to write the screenplay of the movie -- won't be the writer. James also expressed disinterest on Twilight star Robert Pattinson as a potential Christian Grey. That leaves the field open for the trifecta of Christian Grey "wannabe" formed by Cavil, Gosling and True Blood's Aleksander Skarsgard to clinch the much coveted role one the auditions start.

In the meantime, both Cavill and Skarsgard have participated in their own Fifty Shades of Grey tribute videos with cologne commercials in which the actors channel the enigmatic Christian Grey in subtle yet direct moves that demonstrate they both are ready to take the whip and start training Anastasia.
