Electric Zoo 2012: Schedule, David Guetta and Tiesto Performances

Electric Zoo has become one of the season’s largest EDM festivals, and the music acts are kicking off this Friday to celebrate the holiday weekend. Held on Randall’s Island in New York City, the relatively new festival has become a who’s-who of the electronic music and DJ scene. Now in it’s third year, Electricc Zoo has become a Labor Day Weekend tradition. This year, notable names will be in attendance including headliner David Guetta. Other buzz-worthy acts on the scene are Skrillex, Pretty Lights, A-Track, Dada Life and Steve Aoki … just to name a few. The festival runs from Aug. 31-Sept. 2. 

The four-stage venue will have concerts happening simultaneously around the island. Friday will start with the big guns (David Guetta) but Sunday will be exiciting as well with Tiesto and Skrillex closing out the weekend. Check out the full schedule here:

Friday's Biggest Performance: 

David Guetta will be kicking off the show on Friday, performing a set from 8:00-9:30 pm on the Main Stage. 

Saturday's Biggest Performance: 

House musician and Dim Mak Records producer is performing on Saturday from 9:00-10:15pm. 

Sunday's Biggest Performance: 

Tiësto and Skrillex will end the festival on Sunday evening. Tiësto takes the Main Stage at 7:50pm followed by Skrillex at 9:45pm. 

Can I Still Buy Tickets? 

Yes, though they are a little pricey. Tickets run between $115 and $1200. Check out your options here

How Do I Get There? 

Getting to Randall's Island is not the easiest thing in the world. But there are a few ways to do it.

1) The Ferry: Ferries will be departing throughout the day from the East 35th Street Ferry landing on the corner of 35th street at the FDR Drive. Ferries run roughly every 15 minutes beginning at 10am and the journey takes approximately 25 minutes.  

2) Shuttle Bus: Shuttle buses will be departing throughout the day from East 124th street between Madison Ave and Park Ave in Manhattan. Buses begin running at 10am each day, and the trip is less than 10 minutes.
