Obama vs Clinton: Bill Clinton Outshined President Obama at DNC 2012

Impact

President Obama has officially accepted the nomination for reelection of President of the United States of America, from the Time Warner Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, on the third day of an enthusiastic Democratic National Convention which featured epic speakers such as former President Bill Clinton, First Lady Michelle Obama and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, the historic DNC 2012 first Latino Keynote Speaker -- among others.

However, all the anticipation built during three days of firing up a loyal Democratic base with well deserved attacks on the opposing Romney/Ryan Republican ticket and the promise of four more years of fighting for the middle class, women, Latinos, the LGBT community and our veterans, seemed to deflate once President Obama started his much anticipated speech, which however failed to rekindle the president's 2008 magic. Big time.

Here are some of the sound bites the president rehashed during, arguably, the most important speech of his political life; a speech of survival, if you will:

"We learn from our mistakes."

"I never said this journey would be easy."

"If you believe in a country where everyone plays by the same rules, then I need you to vote this November."

"I've never been more hopeful about America ... because of you."

"I'm mindful of my own failings."

"This democracy is ours."
