Obama vs Romney Polls: Obama Leads, Romney Creeps Up, in Key Battleground States

Impact

President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney accepted the nominations for candidates of their respective parties in the 2012 Election with much partisan fanfare and pageantry, but with little movement in the polls, which still show a close race after the DNC and RNC confetti-filled extravaganzas.

According to Examiner, the president has kept the narrow lead he had before the conventions over Republican challenger Mitt Romney. This means neither candidate received a significant bump from their respective parties' gatherings that sought to make the case for both men before an increasingly polarized and skeptical American electorate.

The Real Clear Politics (RCP) average of polls shows President Obama leading in Florida and Mitt Romney in Ohio. In general, is a mixed picture for both candidates as it shows an increasingly divided and skeptical American electorate, which -- so far, at least -- is neither convinced, not impressed with neither candidate.
