Soon You'll Be Able to Search Google to Find Your Lost Phone

Impact

Our cellphones might be giving us cancer and ruining our relationships, but love has reasons which reason cannot understand.

Google gets it and is making it easier for you to find your phone. If you lose it, soon you'll be able to Google "I lost my phone" to find it.

After your search, you will be taken to the "Find your phone" portal, Engadget reported, which will let you track it down directly from that page. The portal is currently available, but the feature of being able to type your desperation into the search bar is coming soon.

Once you've pinpointed your phone, you can also lock it, call it, secure your account and leave a callback number on the screen. It works for both Android and iOS devices. You'll need to be signed into your Google account, and have your phone number associated with that account to access this feature.

It makes sense Google wants to make it easier than ever to find a lost phone — we see them as an extension of ourselves.
