2016 BET Awards Winners: Complete List of Who Took Home the Night's Top Prizes

Culture

At 8 p.m. Eastern Sunday, the BET Awards will go live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to honor the best in black music, acting, filmmaking and sports.

Drake, whose album Views has spent eight straight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, leads in nominations with nine, including video of the year and best male hip-hop artist. Rihanna — a frequent Drake collaborator — and Beyoncé follow with five nominations each.

All the nominees and winners are decided on by an academy of entertainment professionals and fans. Last year's award show drew 6.5 million viewers, a million shy of the ratings the year before, but it was cable's top-ranked awards show of 2015, according to Broadway World.
