Latina Icon Selena Is Getting a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Here's something that will make your heart go bidi bidi bom bom.
Selena, who died 21 years ago this year, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to the Tejana star's Facebook page. The Walk of Fame star is due to be unveiled some time next year, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Since the post went up, Facebook users have shared it over 16,000 times. Clearly, everyone has the exact same feeling about this.
Selena's legacy lives on even after her death. In April, MAC Cosmetics released the first shot of its upcoming Selena-inspired lipstick line "Como El Flor," named after one of the singer's many hits. Her fans have also been clamoring for a Selena-inspired Barbie Doll.
Though Selena love has been strong among Latinos for decades, the general public has finally woken up to her many charms.
In other words, unlike another famous Selena, she has the range.
