Leaked Video Allegedly Shows Controversial New iPhone 7 Accessories

Impact

The iPhone 7 is coming, and so are the accessories. Rumor has it that the next iPhone won't have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you'll have to plug your headphones right into the Lightning port where you'd plug in your charger. Now there's more supposed evidence to support that theory.

A new video from a user called EverythingApplesPro shows what the user claims to be a pair of new iPhone 7 EarPods. They look just like the EarPods you know, but their cord ends in a Lightning connector.

The uploader doesn't say where or how he got his hands on these EarPods and the iPhone 7 won't be released for at least another month, so we obviously don't know if they're real or not. Still, all signs point to an iPhone 7 without a headphone jack, so even if these headphones aren't real, they might be similar to the ones Apple eventually releases.

If the iPhone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack, people will have to use an adapter for the headphones they have, buy wireless headphones or buy headphones with a Lightning cord. It's not a change that people are excited about.
