Leslie Jones has the only Twitter account you need to follow during the Rio 2016 Olympics

Actor and comedian Leslie Jones has been sending fire tweets during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Here she is, on Sunday, riffing on Maya Angelou's "Still I Rise" as Ellie Downie — a British gymnast who'd just injured herself landing on the back of her neck during a floor exercise routine — heroically returned to the gym and completed two vaults to help her squad qualify for the team competition:

Here she is remixing Eazy-E after the U.S. men's swimming team pulled off a thrilling gold medal victory in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, also on Sunday:

Here she is trying to make sense of Mara Abbott's poise in the face of a crushing defeat. Abbott was winning the women's cycling road race when three other riders overtook her with 150 meters to the finish line, booting her off the medal podium completely:

Here she is giving an important pep talk:

And here she is being all of us as we marvel at the otherworldly talent that is U.S. swimming savant Katie Ledecky, who won gold in the women's 400-meter freestyle race on Sunday in world-record-shattering fashion:

All this after just two days of Olympic competition.

Same, Leslie. Same.

Jones' commentary has been so funny that Jim Bell, the executive producer for NBC's Olympics coverage, actually invited her to come to Rio.

It's refreshing to see something nice happen to Jones on Twitter for a change.

In July, the Saturday Night Live star made headlines by highlighting the racist and sexist abuse she was receiving on the platform, which came as backlash for her appearance in the new, women-led Ghostbusters film.

The relentless bullying drove the comedian off Twitter temporarily, and resulted in the banning of right-wing troll Milo Yiannopoulos, who was behind much of the harassment.

Now Jones seems to be back with a vengeance. Victory is sweet — on Twitter and in Rio.
