At Least 2 Officers Shot in Arkansas; Gunman Reportedly Wielded Semi-Automatic Weapon

According to local news station 5News KSFM, on Wednesday, two officers had been shot in Sebastian County, Arkansas, one of whom was a Sebastian County deputy and the other the Hackett, Arkansas, chief of police.

The shooting happened around 7:15 a.m. near Highway 253, and as of KSFM's latest update at 8:42 a.m., the shooting suspect — who was reportedly wielding a semi-automatic weapon — was reported as not being in custody and being uncooperative. 

There's no word yet on the condition of the injured officers or the status of the suspect, however Pedro Rivera, a local news anchor in Northwest Arkansas, later shared a video on Twitter showing a "heavy police presence" at the site of the shooting.
