Ashton Eaton Rio Olympics livestream: Watch defending gold medalist compete in decathlon
American athlete Ashton Eaton is the current decathlon world-record holder — and this week, he will compete to defend his title and win gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The decathlon consists of 10 events: discus, javelin, shot put, long jump, high jump, pole vault, 100-meter sprint, 110-meter hurdles, 400 meters and 1,500 meters, making it a grueling test of athletic ability. So far, Eaton has completed the 100-meter sprint, long jump and shot put.
