There's a real-life eggplant emoji vibrator, and it's actually really cute

Impact

The eggplant emoji has penetrated (heh) our sexting habits so deeply over the past few years that it has swiftly managed to become the ultimate phallic symbol of the modern age. It's already a fave on the cheeky-emoji-merchandise marketplace, recently taking the shape of pillows, keychains and even piñatas. And now the time has come for the eggplant emoji to fulfill its supreme merchandise destiny and become something you can actually bone: a vibrator.

What the hell took so long?

Emojibator

The waterproof sex gadget is called the Emojibator — good name! — and it measures about 4.84 x 1.22 inches, "making it the perfectly sleek and satisfying size."

Emojibator founder Jaime Jandler said in an email that the Emojibator started out as a joke, but then thought it might actually have the potential to make vibrators less intimidating for people who don't have much experience with sex toys.

"I soon realized this product had the ability to start a conversation about masturbation and remove the taboo associated with it," Jandler said. "There are countless benefits of masturbation, and sex shouldn't have to be taken so seriously all of the time. The Emojibator serves as a way to make masturbation fun, easy and accessible. My goal is to create something that would be perfect for both someone purchasing their first sex toy and a more experienced customer looking to add a touch of humor to their collection."

Indeed, the Emojibator has a very nonthreatening appearance. It might even feel right at home in an old-fashioned fruit bowl on the kitchen table — next to, say, an actual eggplant!
