Donald Trump polls: Latest polls put Trump behind Clinton by sizable margin

Impact

With just 15 days left before the 2016 presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump finds himself trailing nationally by about six points.

A RealClearPolitics average of national polls show Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton at 48% to Trump's 41.9% in a two-way race.

Clinton has been rising in the polls in recent weeks. An ABC News 2016 election tracking poll released over the weekend shows Clinton with double-digit lead over Trump. That poll puts Clinton ahead by a solid 12 points.

Clinton's numbers in the ABC News tracking poll, the report said, were "boosted by broad disapproval of Donald Trump on two controversial issues: His treatment of women and his reluctance to endorse the election's legitimacy."

FiveThirtyEight gives Trump a 13.8% chance of winning the election.
