Quetta, Pakistan, Terror Attack: At least 60 killed at police academy

An al-Qaida-linked terror group has been blamed for an attack that left at least 60 people dead and more than 100 injured at a police training academy in Quetta, Pakistan, Monday night, according to CNN. At least 260 other cadets were rescued.

Major General Sher Afgan, Chief of the Paramilitary Frontier Corps said that Lashkar-e-Jhangvi is responsible for the terror attack, which killed mostly cadets at the Balochistan Police Training College. ISIS, or the Islamic State group, have also claimed responsibility, the BBC reported.

"I saw three men in camouflage whose faces were hidden carrying Kalashnikovs," one cadet who escaped said, according to Agence France-Presse. "They started firing and entered the dormitory but I managed to escape over a wall."

According to CNN,  Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has a history of attacking the Shiite minority in Pakistan.
