How to get the new emojis on your iPhone

Impact

A new iOS update is on the horizon, and with it comes a batch of new emojis. In total, 72 emojis are being added to the emoji dictionary, which are due out with the iOS 10.2 patch arriving at an unannounced date in the near future. Thankfully, a beta version is available now. Here's how to get it.

How to install iOS 10.2 beta

To install iOS 10.2 beta, head over to Apple's beta software program page. From here, you can sign up with your Apple ID to gain access to a guide for public betas. There's an option for macOS or iOS — choose the latter and scroll about halfway down the page to click on "enroll your iOS device."

From here you can follow Apple's instructions, which include archiving an iOS backup, downloading a profile and updating your device. Once those three steps are completed, you'll be running on iOS 10.2.

Other additions include a shrug ¯\_(?)_/¯, "fingers crossed," avocado, fox and a gorilla which, of course, has already been labeled Harambe.
