'Hamilton Mixtape': Listen to Kelly Clarkson's "It's Quiet Uptown," the Roots' "My Shot"

Culture

To the unfortunate souls that haven't reaped the rewards of the Hamilton lottery, our lord and savior Lin-Manuel Miranda blessed us with the confirmation that Hamilton Mixtape is going to drop on Dec. 2. It's going to have a slew of talented artists across the music sphere, including Sia, Alicia Keys, Regina Spektor, Nas, Chance the Rapper — and for some reason, Jimmy Fallon.

While Miranda had promised on Twitter that he'd be working on a mixtape over a year ago, the wait feels more exasperating now that it's tantalizingly close.

Thankfully, if you're feeling impatient, there's some good news: Two of tracks from the mixtape have already dropped. Kelly Clarkson's "It's Quiet Uptown" and as The Roots' "My Shot [Rise Up Remix]" featuring Busta Rhymes, Joell Oritz and Nate Ruess was briefly available on Spotify and Apple Music, but appear to be missing at present. They're still available on YouTube for those thirsty.

Clarkson's remix, in particular, has already drawn a lot of praise on the Twitterverse from users who've been able to tweet through their uncontrollable tears.

Keep some tissues handy, and check out both tracks from Hamilton Mixtape below:
