Who won Nevada? Clinton beats Trump in critical swing state.

Impact

Hillary Clinton secured Nevada's 6 electoral votes early Wednesday morning, the Associated Press reported.

While the state had relatively few electoral votes to deliver, it was a key state for Donald Trump in his road to 270 electoral votes. Trump and Clinton campaigned there regularly throughout the campaign.

While not as frequently discussed as Florida or Ohio, Nevada has been a lower-profile swing state for decades. It has supported each winning presidential candidate since 1980.

Polls in Nevada showed a tight race up to Election Day. Surveys gave Trump the edge there a week ago. But early voting suggested a Democratic lead for Clinton and in down-ballot races.
