Who Won the Jon Stewart and Bill OReilly Debate: Results of The Rumble 2012

Culture

This Saturday October 6th at 8:00 p.m. (ET) PolicyMic will be live blogging the real debate. Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and Fox News' Bill O'Reilly will be squaring off in a pay-per-view event from Lisner Auditorium at The George Washington University that you can stream here for $4.95 (for charity), or follow for free through PolicyMic's live updates as well as live Facebook posts and tweets

"O'Reilly v. Stewart 2012: The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium" "will take an entertaining and comedic approach to today's pressing political issues in an attempt to find the best direction for America." "The Rumble 2012," a nod to "The Rumble in the Jungle," the 1974 legendary boxing event between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali, will pit liberal rock star Jon Stewart from The Daily Show With Jon Stewart against Bill O'Reilly the conservative icon from The O'Reilly Factor

The face off comes on the heels of Wednesday's first Presidential Debate in which Republican challenger Mitt Romney owned President Barack Obama on the crucial issue of the economy. And both Stewart and O'Reilly will surely spark over this both during their own Saturday debate as well as during tonight's show (when Stewart will host O'Reilly in a "The Rumble 2012" debate preview).

O'Reilly and Stewart are not strangers to appearing side by side in television (they have interviewed each other in several occasions). However, this is the first time the two TV hosts from diametrically opposing political views will be going toe-to-toe in a mock political debate. Will Stewart score one for the team by easily crushing O'Reilly? It remains to be seen. If any lesson can be drawn from Obama's debate debacle is: never underestimate the stiff and boring conservative.
