Apple rarely offers discounts on its iPhone products. Unlike most major retailers, the tech company more often than not eschews deals on its mobile gadgets, forcing consumers to seek out local retailers on special shopping holidays — like Black Friday — to try and nab them at a discount.
Finding the best iPhone deals can be tricky, but lucky for you, we've taken care of all the hard work and research so you don't have to. Read on to learn where you can find the best iPhone discounts this year.
Target is offering up a free iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus and $250 gift card with the purchase of an AT&T, Sprint or Verizon cellular plan. Depending on the desired amount of storage, the same model would cost shoppers between $649 and $849 for the iPhone 7 and between $769 and $969 for the iPhone 7 Plus at an Apple store.
If you've been hoping to purchase one of Apple's older iPhone models, you're in luck: Walmart is practically giving away the iPhone 5s for Black Friday. It's only $99 and includes 16GB of storage and must be purchased with a Straight Talk wireless plan, which starts at $45.
The wireless carrier won't have a traditional money off deal this year for its Apple phones but will be giving Verizon customers the opportunity to trade in their old iPhone 6S or 6s Plus and save $300 on the purchase of a new iPhone 7. iPhone SE owners are eligible for a $200 discount while iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPhone SE can get up to $100 off.
This isn't technically an iPhone-only deal, but it still has great savings.
AT&T is giving away up to $650 in store credit for customers who switch to the carrier or trade in an old device and purchase a new phone, which includes the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, from the company.
Shoppers who purchase an iPhone 7 and cellular lease plan with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon will get a store gift card worth up to $250. Best Buy is also offering the iPhone SE starting at $9.99 for 24 months with 0% APR (that's about $160 off its regular retail price).
