Is 'The Flash' on tonight? Season 3, episode 6 airing after election day hiatus

Culture

Fans of The Flash might've noticed that the CW series didn't air a new episode last week. There was a pretty simple reason for that: It would've taken place on Election Day, while many of us were nervously watching the results. Now that we know who our next president is, we can escape back to The Flash

The show returns Tuesday night with the sixth episode of its third season, which has teased Wally West, played by Keiynan Lonsdale, getting his speed powers and becoming Kid Flash. This isn't necessarily a surprise, given that the CW announced the forthcoming appearance of Kid Flash back in July. But it's still an exciting prospect — just look at that snazzy superhero outfit.

The synopsis for the third season's sixth episode, "Shade," suggests as much: "When Wally starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris and Joe about what happened to Wally in Flashpoint in order to keep him safe."

The Flash returns Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on the CW. You can check out a scene from the upcoming episode below:
