How long will the American Music Awards 2016 last? Here's when to expect the night to end.

If you want to see some of your favorite albums and artists awarded for their 2016 efforts then you're in luck. The 2016 American Music Awards will take place this Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. Eastern. The show, broadcasted by ABC, will conclude at around 11 p.m. Eastern — a three-hour time slot.

This year's nominees include some expected faces including Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. In the new artist category is One Direction's Zayn Malik, the Chainsmokers and Shawn Mendes. Unlike some other award shows, fans are able to vote for their favorite artists, music and videos on the AMA website

In terms of the performers, Bieber, Lady Gaga, Fifth Harmony, Green Day, the Weeknd and Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj have been announced.
