Freeform's Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas premieres on Thanksgiving Day

Forget about the turkey — Thanksgiving Day is the official start of Freeform's Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas.

Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas is a fan-favorite programming event that previously ran on ABC Family. The network officially changed its name to Freeform in January to attract an older audience, but they're upholding their tradition of airing holiday movies and specials.

Highlights this year include the network television debut of A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits. The film, which first premiered in August, is the fourth installment in the Cinderella Story franchise. Other highlights featured include the network premieres of Boxtrolls and The Odd Life of Timothy Green. None of these films are actually Christmas-related, but it basically gives the network an extra couple days to promote its main viewing event, 25 Days of Christmas, which kicks off on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas movie schedule for Thursday, Nov. 24, is listed below; you can view the daily schedule in its entirety on the Freeform website.

11:30 a.m. Eastern — Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
