When and where to watch 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving'

Culture

We're going to go out on a limb and assume your Thanksgiving won't include toast, popcorn and candy, as was the case for Charlie Brown in A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. The 1973 TV special, based on Charles M. Schultz's Peanuts comic strip, has become as synonymous with Thanksgiving as turkey, pumpkin pie and awkward family conversations about politics and religion.

This year's no different — especially on the politics front — but how can you check out A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving this year?

Eager fans can watch the special on ABC Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern. If for some reason you're unable to view it during that time, the network will also have it available to stream online through its ABC app and ABC.com for free the day after it airs. Given the wording from ABC, it appears A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will only be available to watch online on Thanksgiving day, giving it a limited window of viewing. If one were to miss the window, however, at least there's a plethora of Peanuts clips available on YouTube through Peanuts-themed accounts.
