Where are the 2017 Grammys? Location and ticket information for 59th annual awards show

Culture

Although the 59th annual Grammy Awards show won't take place until Feb. 12, 2017, the nominations for the best in 2016 music will drop on Dec. 6. The Grammys will be filmed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, but unfortunately for you, it's very unlikely you'll be able to attend.

Snagging tickets for the popular music awards show is tricky. If you're a nominee, you'll obviously get in. But otherwise, tickets are not really for sale — at least not legally.

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has cracked down in recent years on scalping for tickets to music's biggest night. Just a few years ago, there were scalpers trying to sell tickets to the coveted event. However, the best option to attend the event is to be a seat filler. Event disorganizers don't like to have these events look empty, so historically — if there are vacancies — fans have been able to sign up to take empty seats at the show.

The 2017 Grammys will be hosted by James Corden, the English comedian and actor who hosts The Late Late Show with James Corden and is perhaps best known for his "Carpool Karaoke" segment. It will be Corden's first time hosting the awards show.

While we definitely won't be expecting Frank Ocean's name, rumored nominees include Radiohead, David Bowie, Drake, Beyoncé and Adele.
