The 5 worst-dressed people of 2016
The year 2016 gave us some of most memorable outfits of our lifetime. Michelle Obama in that rose gold Versace dress. Beyoncé — and her background dancers — at the Super Bowl. Lady Gaga offering a sartorial ode to David Bowie at the Grammys. Rihanna at... everything.
And yet, we also had our low points. We still had people who just continued to disappoint. We had people who stayed devoted to a certain aesthetic, when we know they're capable of so much more. We had, for instance, one person who generally seemed more concerned with attempting to ruin America than finding an actually appropriate outfit to wear.
So, on that note, here are the five worst-dressed people of 2016.
Ken Bone
Turns out, Ken Bone, like milk and Axl Rose, doesn't age so well. From the moment he popped up on American TV screens during a presidential debate in October until now, talk around him has turned from "He's a style icon" to, "No, he's a problem."
But beyond all that, let's just say this: That red, zip-up sweater he was wearing, which sent people running for one themselves for Halloween, was highly overrated. And his khaki pants? Come on, man.
Tomi Lahren
It is true that political commentator Tomi Lahren, whenever she appears on television for any number of reasons, always looks fine.
She wears a bold color. She puts on a statement necklace. Her hair is always in flattering loose curls. She has a uniform, and that uniform is fine.
But it is also, shall we say, incredibly and desperately dull. What matters, of course, is that she likes it herself. But still, there's just something... missing from it all.
A little edge, maybe. A little risk. A little personality beyond the rack at the Limited. You know you'd see all these outfits (and maybe even hear all these words she's saying) if you were to walk within twenty yards of a sorority house.
It's all very J.Crew or Vineyard Vines or, we guess, Ann Taylor.

Milo Yiannopoulos
In the past year, Milo Yiannopoulos has mocked a transgender woman in front of her own university, made fun of Leslie Jones after she was hacked, emboldened a young generation of white supremacists and created a scholarship for white men only.
But perhaps the most insulting thing about all that is not his disregard for humankind, but that he did all of those despicable things while being terribly dressed.
At a press conference in front of Pulse nightclub in Orlando, he had the audacity to wear a pinstripe suit with pink tie with pastel flowers on it.
When he received an award for... ahem... "courage," he wore a black reptilian suit with multiple gold chains.
And the hair.
Well, those frosted tips have already been worn by one man, and that one man is Proto Zoa from the Disney original movie Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century.
Better luck next time, bro.
Steve Bannon
Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's choice for senior counselor, is a man who seems to be thrilled about being wildly underdressed while occupying an incredibly powerful and influential position.
And by "wildly underdressed," what we actually mean is that he is always wearing exactly the same green utilitarian jacket, as if he has just come from a morning of duck hunting.

For years now, Kanye West has been praised as a forward-thinking fashion shaker-upper — even by us. But this year, and these past few weeks in particular, have changed things.
What we mean to say is: Kanye West, step away from the neutral-hued, drab T-shirts and sweatshirts in black, white, brown or beige.
We say this now because we know for a fact that you have so much more to offer. You used to be all about black leather and statement sunglasses. You used to wear pink and leather skirts. We understand how nice it is to dress uniformly, but jeez, man.
It's time to change. For inspiration, we suggest you look toward your wife.
