Man, things are really, uh, slacking at Slack HQ right now. The popular group-messaging service beloved among newsrooms and friends is experiencing some major issues on Dec. 22. GIFs from Giphy don't load. Links don't autopopulate. Slack can't process uploaded files. What is going on?
Generally, there's not much you can do except sit and wait for Slack engineers to fix its problems. Fortunately, you can watch Slack's current status update in near-real time on Slack's site.
On Thursday morning, the Slack Twitter account was apologetic. "We're working hard to fix," the account said at 12:19 p.m.
If you want to check Slack's status and see when the service will be back, click here to find the Slack Status page. It's currently listed as "degraded service."
