Governors Ball 2017 Lineup Announced: Full list of who's performing in June

Right on the coattails of the Coachella lineup announcement, Governors Ball, New York City's premiere music festival, shared their own lineup Wednesday morning via Twitter. Their headliners occupy a somewhat different end of the musical spectrum than Coachella's, highlighting rock and independent acts — prog metal gods Tool, indie rockers Phoenix and Chicago's prodigal son Chance the Rapper.

The festival will also feature Childish Gambino, Flume, Wu-Tang Clan, The Avalanches, Beach House, Rae Sremmurd, Tove Lo, Mac DeMarco, YG, the Head and the Heart, Danny Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Lorde.

Check out the full lineup of the festival, taking place June 2 to June 4 on Randall's Island Park, below.

The festival will mark Tool's first NYC performance in 11 years, according to a press release. The lineup also features a few interesting surprises, including a Mark Ronson vs. Kevin Parker set. The two multi-instrumentalists, the former best known for his Bruno Mars collaboration "Uptown Funk" and the latter for his psych pop project Tame Impala, recently worked together to produce Lady Gaga's "Perfect Illusion." It seems they're looking to push the boundaries of that chemistry to see what other arena magic it will produce.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Jan. 6 at 12 p.m. Eastern via the festival's website. Regular three-day general admission passes are currently going for $305 plus fees. Have your finger on the trigger Friday ready to lock your pass down.
