Tickets to the 2017 Governors Ball, the popular music festival held in New York, will go on sale Friday, Jan. 6, at noon, Eastern, on the event's official website.

Held at Randall's Island Park in New York, the three-day festival will run from June 2 to June 4 and feature performances from Wu-Tang Clan, Lorde, Chance the Rapper and Tool, among others.

For those hoping to make a weekend of it, planning ahead pays off. Early bird three-day general admission tickets total $275, not including fees. After this batch of tickets is sold out, the general admission three-day advance tickets will go on sale for $290, not including fees. Prices go up again after that to $305 for general admission three-day regular tickets, not including fees.

VIP tickets to the event range from $600 to $1,000, depending on how far in advance they are purchased. Along with separate lines at the festival entrance, VIP access offers fans perks like air-conditioned restrooms, shade tents, up-close viewing of performances and even massage services.

For those willing to shell out more than $2,000, a small number of Platinum tickets are available, offering access to an elevated viewing platform at the front of the house. If that isn't close enough, there is also onstage viewing and a backstage guest area.

If the prices sound steep, payment plans are available for all types of tickets.
