Netflix has been cranking out original superhero series faster than the Punisher can select his next target. But when it comes to superhero movies and TV shows, the streaming service offers so much more than Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. In fact, that's really just the tip of the iceberg — beneath the surface lies not only a frozen Captain America, but a trove of binge-worthy superhero programming.

Here are the top 50 best superhero movies and TV shows on Netflix in 2017:

1. Daredevil

When a blind lawyer imbued with supernatural powers of sight, strength and speed finds Hell's Kitchen being taken over by the tyrannical Wilson Fisk, he embarks on an epic battle to reclaim his city. From Daredevil to Elektra, Punisher and Kingpin, Daredevil is filled with incredible superheroes and villains.

2. Luke Cage

Luke Cage follows an ordinary man who gains superstrength and bulletproof skin after a prison experiment goes wrong, transforming him into Harlem's hero. Luke fights off the ordinary human baddies but also has an epic battle with Diamondback.

3. Jessica Jones

Another character with superstrength, Jessica Jones starts off as more of an antihero but slowly evolves into a true hero, putting her own life in danger to fight off Kilgrave and his mind-control powers to save New York City.

4. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel's heroes come together to form the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, or S.H.I.E.L.D. for short. These superheroes must work as one if they want to take down the world's most fearsome supervillains.

5. Supergirl

Superman has a cousin, and her name is Supergirl. Just like the Man of Steel, Supergirl is imbued with the abilities of flight, superstrength, laser vision and more. With her Kryptonian powers, Supergirl faces the alien menaces she inadvertently led to Earth.

30. Planet Hulk

Banished from Earth by Iron Man and sent to an uninhabited planet, Hulk is sentenced to live out his days in solitude.
